Laura Minor, Equine & Small Animal Practitioner Laura Minor received her certification in both Equine and Small Animal Acupressure from Tallgrass Animal Acupressure Institute. She maintains an active practice that incorporates other healing modalities such as Reiki, TTouch for equine and canine, Animal Communication and Nutritional Consultation. She offers acupressure sessions on-site or at her farm. Her orientation to animal well-being produces an optimal health program for each individual animal. Laura has experience as a small animal veterinary technician and an animal care specialist for a small private zoo, caring for exotic birds, a camel, emus, and other animals. She taught non-curricular classes to children, including basic dog training to children. Lon Black, Small Animal Acupressure Practitioner Lon Black has been a certified Small Animal Massage Therapist for over 2 years and has become a Tallgrass Small Animal Acupressure Practitioner Certification Program to enhance his scope of services for dogs and cats. He works through Hope Veterinary Services in Brooklyn, New York. Lon was one of the first graduates of the Small Animal Massage Therapy Certification Program at the Bancroft School of Massage Therapy in Worcester, Massachusetts. This program was one of the first and most comprehensive training programs for small animal massage in the country and a leader in education for human massage. Lon is successfully combining massage therapy and acupressure in his practice and has found that the two disciplines complement each other for the benefit of the animals. He is also a Master Level Reiki practitioner in the Usui Tradition and Karuna Reiki. |

Patricia "Pat" Shaw, Equine Practitioner Pat is a Tallgrass Certified Equine Acupressure Practitioner; who is currently continuing with Tallgrass to be certified with small animals. Pat is also a nationally licensed massage therapist; and, is certified in equine and canine massage. Pat has over twenty years experience working with animals as a groom, equine rehabilitator, and trainer. I have experience working with juvenile, senior and "difficult" horses. I believe that each animal is an individual and therapies are designed to meet the specific requirements of that particular animal. I will travel to your farm or home throughout the tri-state area. |

Jean M. Bennett, Equine & Small Animal Practitioner Jean was a corporate CEO, but her heart has been with the animals since her earliest memories. She was able to retire in 1999 and start a new career as an energy therapist for pets and their people in 2002. Jean started with Tallgrass Animal Acupressure in 2001 and received her Practitioner Certification in 2007 for both large and small animals. Jean is also a Reiki Master, an ordained minister, and has extensive education in animal communication as well as emotional balancing and low frequency energy clearing. Her primary passion is education of pet guardians in the ways of natural care, so the animals of the world are healthier and happier. Jean has found the combination of balancing the meridians with acupressure, balancing the chakras with Reiki, and educating where necessary, is a powerful combination that empowers the pet caretakers to take charge of their animal friends' health, and help their own in the process. |

Barbara Merrow-Burberry, Equine Practitioner It is very fulfilling to help horses transform from a state of distress and pain to one of deep relaxation and improved health. Barbara took early retirement after 27 years as a software engineer, and then service six-sigma quality engineer to pursue her passion, horses. She had begun riding at 42 with her daughter and came to appreciate the amazing capacity of horses to relieve human’s anxiety and pain. Wanting to return the favor after retiring, Barbie received her certification in Equine Acupressure and Reiki in 2008. She now divides her time between equine acupressure sessions, her horse Joker, her husband Mitch, her Brittany Dusty, and Traditional Chinese Medicine studies. |
